It’s the holiday season! And I LOVE shopping for, wrapping and (most of all) giving presents. I’ve already been shopping for everyone on my list and since some of those people are likely reading this, I’m not going to give away any hints. However, I have complied some great ideas for the beauty product lover (or anyone!) in your life!

For wine lovers

For the scent-obsessed (and the hard-to-buy-for)

If you haven’t tried any of the Fresh Brown Sugar products, you’re missing out. The scent almost has a cult following. It’s crisp, sweet, mild, warm and energizing all at the same time. There’s now a candle that encompasses the amazing scent and it makes the perfect gift for the hard-to-buy-for person. Whether it’s your mother-in-law or some great friends you love to go out to dinner with, they are sure to love this candle. There’s also a trio of mini candles you can find here.

November favorites

There’s nothing like tossing on a comfy sweater in November but knowing you look great. Not frumpy or 10 lbs heavier, but sexy and cozy.  But there’s a fine line between frumpy and fabulous when it comes to sweaters and a lot of it depends on what you put with the sweater. Here are a few sweaters and a few sweater pairings that I love this season!

From Juicy Couture, this gorgeous camel-colored angora sweater has a trendy “swing” to it and a feminine shape. But because it’s wider at the bottom, pair it with skinny jeans or a very fitted pencil skirt to balance the shape. Find it here on the Outnet for $92.

The sweater above would be compete with a fantastic pair of colored skinny jeans, like these from J Brand. The red would make it a perfect holiday look but also versatile enough to get a lot of bang for the $180 price tag. Click here to get them from Shopbop.

Another sweater I love is this cable pullover by Free People. It has a cozy feel, a neutral color and would be a great weekend go-to. Get it here for $100.

A cable knit needs some great accessories to keep it from looking too immature. Add some amazing earrings like these from Kendra Scott to keep it looking grown-up and gorgeous.

Another set of earrings I love to pair with sweaters are these beauties from ASOS. And at a $10 bargain, you could get pairs in a few colors!

And as you read earlier this month, I have a new project I would LOVE for you to check out! Follow me over to everydaylipstick.com for beauty tips and my favorite beauty products.

What to wear on Valentine’s Day

National Chocolate Day. Singles Awareness Day. Red Roses Day. Whatever you want to call it, Valentine’s Day is coming up this Tuesday. And if you’re “coupled” or have plans with your sweetie, you need outfit ideas and something to wear!

We found a few dresses, accessories, nail polishes and shoes that will make your significant other swoon and help you come up with the perfect outfit. If you’re buying online, time is running out so buy today or tomorrow to get it by Monday!

Two pink dresses

(Left) The Parker pink wrap dress is available on ShopBop for $242 and is such sophisticated elegance and glamour. It’s 100% silk so it will float when you walk and look amazing all night.

(Right) If you live in a warmer climate or want to opt to add a blazer or sweater, check out the Alberta di Ferretti dress that you’ve seen us feature a few times before. We love it and it’s also 100% silk but just a tad over our normal $300 price point. Please forgive us because we just love this dress and think it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Two smashing shoes

(Left) These nude Nine West sandals are on our new “buy” list. While the orange one go with everything, the classic nude sandal is so pretty and feminine. $89 on Piperlime.

(Right) If it’s still a little chilly to rock the open toe sandal where you are, these black suede heel booties will do the trick. The ASOS Tino boot has a great heel to lengthen your leg instead of shorten it, like too many booties do. $150 from ASOS.

Great Accessories

(Left) You have to wear something with a heart on it on Valentine’s Day but it’s better to wear something subtle than to sport giant flashing red earrings. Check out this beautifully subtle bracelet from Max and Chole for $65.

(Right) If you opted for a dress that isn’t pink, add a pink accessory like this linked resin necklace for $195 from Tory Burch. Available here on Shopbop.

Two striking nail polishes

No outfit is complete without nail polish. Here are two of our favorites for Valentine’s Day, both from one of our favorite nail polish brands: Butter London. Click on the color you like to be taken to Zappos to find them!

Style Tip: New Year’s Outfit Pairings

It’s easy to go one of two ways on New Year’s Eve: blend in or overdo it. Some people wind up blending in to a sea of black sequin dresses and gold accessories (yep, it’s the only day of the year when you can blend in while wearing sequins) while others go so over the top with wild color combinations, dresses they only would wear to Vegas or shoes they can’t party-hop in.

I’ve rounded up a variety of outfit combos that will ensure you stand out in a good way and ring in 2012 as the most stylish year ever. Mix and match! Love the retro tights below? Pair them with the amazing red skirt and the chunky black and gold necklace for another great look. Love the sequin heels? Pair them with the black dress from TopShop!

Classic sleeveless dress with chunky, bold necklace

Dress $95 from Topshop, necklace $45 from ModCloth

Glam skirt with retro detailing paired with black suede wedges that you can walk all night in.

Skirt is $42 from ModCloth, watch is $100 from Shopbop and shoes are $150 from Shopbop.

Colorful blazer, black skinny jeans or tights and unique booties create a great look from two pieces you can wear again and again.

Blazer $198 from ShopBop, boots $81 from ASOS, polish is $18 from Zappos.

Glitter pumps set off by retro tights.

Pumps $50 from Urban Outfitters, tights $36 from ShopBop

What combinations do you love for New Year’s Eve? Leave them in the comments!

Love,

Emily

What to wear on Christmas

We had a GREAT time making those gift lists. Our favorite shoes, tops, dresses and then gifts for women who have everything. And thanks to our readers for making this past week the biggest week on eStyleChat ever!

But it’s time to remove ourselves from list making and start thinking about what we’ll wear on the big day. It’s less than two weeks away and since we are online shoppers, you’ll need time to order any of these amazing outfits! If you don’t celebrate Christmas, use these great ideas for all the holiday parties you’ll be attending this year! And readers, don’t forget, if you’re looking for something online, trying to find the perfect outfit or have found the perfect outfit, let us know! Comment below or tweet us @eStyleChat.

You’ll notice that these outfits are chronological. It only makes sense to start on Christmas Eve and work our way through the various situations you might yourself in before, during and after the holiday extravaganza.

Christmas Eve Party

The Go for the Goldenrod Dress from Modcloth is such a wonderful change from the usual red, green, black and silver holiday colors. It’s festive, flattering and only $55! Perfect for indoor parties where you need a heavy coat on the way there but then something cooler in a room full of family and friends. Both sets of heels are from Heels.com and you can go right to that shoe by clicking on the picture.

Christmas Morning

It’s okay to shamelessly want to look cute whether you’re opening presents with your significant other or your parents. Rock out some awesome pajamas like these pink Reindeer pants from Forever 21 for only $9.50 or go a little wilder with a full footie outfit from Target.com for only $25. Worth it for one morning!

And you can’t forget the slippers! These are some of the most comfortable, durable slippers out there and you may even have their cousin…the Ugg boot. Ugg slippers for $100.

Brunch with Family

Have fun with some colorful tights for $14 and a long sweater like this one from Tommy Hilfiger.

You might recognize this Vanessa Bruno sweater from our Thanksgiving post! It is a deal at only $83 on the Outnet. If you bought it for Thanksgiving, toss on the red tights and use it for Christmas!

Formal Christmas Dinner

For many of you, you’ll need something stylish that Grandma will also approve of. Enter this classic lace black dress for $100 from ModCloth combined with these vintage orange earrings from Zappos for $100. Hey, you saved so much on a beautiful dress you can afford to splurge on the earrings!

Another great option is this beautiful purple long-sleeved silk dress from ShopBop. Perfect for going to a big family gathering or an office Christmas party.
