Two-tone riding boots UPDATE

After last season’s post on two-tone riding boots, it has been eStyle Chat’s most popular post for an entire year! But after doing some research, this style has become such a staple for so many ladies, that many of the boots we featured in the last post are sold out.

We went searching again for two-tone riding boots for December 2012 adding some new styles and making sure everything was in stock. If you have recommendations for fellow readers or boots you’re loving this season, let us know!

First up are these semi-slouchy and totally amazing Steve Madden boots. I love the oversize boot strap and the very reasonable price of only $169. In the same price range, on the right are the Ralph Lauren boots from Piperlime that are $174. A slightly sleeker silhouette and ladies, good news if you’ve been searching for a wider calf! The calf circumference on the Ralph Lauren version is 18-inches. That’s an extra 3-3.5 larger than your average riding boot.

Now here’s a two-tone boot I love that’s completely different than the ones above! It’s two-tone cream and tan with a slight heel. Absolutely gorgeous. This is one of my favorites and is a guaranteed-compliment worthy boot every time you wear it. Click here to find it for $160.

Up next we’re back to black and brown but adding a few $$$ to this traditional, sleek riding boot. This boot is the splurge on the page at a high $595. But it’s made in Italy, 100% leather and has a slightly larger calf at 16 inches to prevent jeans from bunch or the boot from pinching. It very well could be the perfect boot for your Christmas list! Cyber Monday Rundown!

Good morning gals,

It’s the most wonderful shopping holiday of the year: Cyber Monday! Let’s get right to the point. Here’s a list of some of my favorite deals around the web and a few of my favorite pieces from each retailer. What did you buy? Leave it in the comments or tweet me at my new twitter handle, @emilylipstick. Have a fun day!

Ann Taylor: 40% off everything and I’m loving this black suede pump and this cream sheath dress. Ann Taylor Loft has 50% off of everything!

Anthropologie: Free shipping is their Cyber Monday deal. Okay, I know, not that cool. But if you had your eye on something like this crazy cool lamp for $2800, it might come in handy. Or there’s cheaper options like this absolutely gorgeous Tracey Reese Anthro dress.

Gap and Banana Republic: 30% off everything in the stores. I adore this grey puffer vest from Gap and you’ve seen me post it before but I do really love the Heritage scarves from Banana.

And then there are retailers like Saks and Neiman Marcus. Saks has specific designers 40% off and Neiman is offering gift cards depending on how much you spend (up to $500).

November favorites

There’s nothing like tossing on a comfy sweater in November but knowing you look great. Not frumpy or 10 lbs heavier, but sexy and cozy.  But there’s a fine line between frumpy and fabulous when it comes to sweaters and a lot of it depends on what you put with the sweater. Here are a few sweaters and a few sweater pairings that I love this season!

From Juicy Couture, this gorgeous camel-colored angora sweater has a trendy “swing” to it and a feminine shape. But because it’s wider at the bottom, pair it with skinny jeans or a very fitted pencil skirt to balance the shape. Find it here on the Outnet for $92.

The sweater above would be compete with a fantastic pair of colored skinny jeans, like these from J Brand. The red would make it a perfect holiday look but also versatile enough to get a lot of bang for the $180 price tag. Click here to get them from Shopbop.

Another sweater I love is this cable pullover by Free People. It has a cozy feel, a neutral color and would be a great weekend go-to. Get it here for $100.

A cable knit needs some great accessories to keep it from looking too immature. Add some amazing earrings like these from Kendra Scott to keep it looking grown-up and gorgeous.

Another set of earrings I love to pair with sweaters are these beauties from ASOS. And at a $10 bargain, you could get pairs in a few colors!

And as you read earlier this month, I have a new project I would LOVE for you to check out! Follow me over to everydaylipstick.com for beauty tips and my favorite beauty products.

What to wear in Napa and Sonoma

I’m headed to Northern California over Labor day weekend with two of my best gals and we’ve been planning our wardrobe for weeks! As “high end” as it sounds to go wine tasting, Napa, Sonoma and Headlesburg (where we’ll be staying) are surprisingly relaxed and casual. It’s a wine makers area and wine makers wear jeans. All the same, there are areas of the town and particularly restaurants where you might like just a little more sophistication or something more than your breezy sundress.

I’ve compiled some of my favorite wine tasting wear for your next trip to the West! Let me know what you think in the comments! xoxo- Emily

WINERY TRIPS

A casual, flowy Modcloth dress for $59 paired with easy-walking wedges is perfect for a day of tours in a car or on a bike! This outfit would be appropriate through September where temperatures still are in the 80s. The blush-colored Dorothy Perkins dress is also another fantastic and breezy choice plus it’s only $39!

DINNER OUT

Dinner can be surprisingly casual or very upscale in Napa and Sonoma. In most places, guys can get away with jeans and your stilettos might be too much. Based on where you’ll be dining, pick something with a relaxed siluette that says “I’m here to enjoy a few glasses of wine!” Nights can get chilly so if you’ll be eating outside or visiting in the cooler months, bring a jacket or cardigan. I love this cotton paneled dress but pair with structured shoes so you don’t look slouchy. These Tory Burch wedges are a great choice.
